Saturday, July 28
Come one, come all to our annual gathering of alumni and friends and family on Saturday, July 28th. Catch up with alumni from your class, sit in on classes taught by our own alumni, enjoy multiple opportunities for fellowship and games, and attend our evening AFLBS Scholarship Dinner and Concert, featuring Katy Dahl and Ryan Lee Jones. Childcare will be provided.
8:30 a.m – Coffee & Donuts
9:00 – 11:00 a.m Classes and VBS/Nursery for children
Future of AFLBS: Pastor Wade Mobley will be sharing about the vision of AFLBS and things we can be looking forward to in the future of AFLBS.
Corinthian Ecclesiology: Dr. Nathan Olson will be looking at how Paul envisions the body of Christ.
When Life Throws a Curveball: Pastor Jesse and Paula Kneeland will be sharing about God’s work within the trials that followed the birth of their son Maxwell.
The Dinkytown Ministry: Alex Woodworth and Ryan Jones will be giving testimony to the Lord’s work through their water bottle ministry that started on the U of M campus while they were in Bible School.
VBS/Nursery for children led by AFLBS Summer Teams.
11:30 p.m. – Lunch
1:00-4:00 p.m. – Afternoon Activities
Outside Heritage: Outside games and activities will include pony rides, a bouncy house, volleyball, and other lawn games for you and your family to use and enjoy.
Inside Heritage: Spend time inside out of the heat and sun and pull up a chair for some games or coffeehouse style fellowship in the A/C.
MOA Experience: Grab some classmates or bring the family to Minneapolis’ own Mall of America, the largest indoor mall in the nation, featuring Nickelodeon Universe, Sea Life Aquarium, the Crayola Experience, LegoLand, and much more. A school van will be provided to and from MOA but space is limited, pickup is at 1:00pm outside of Heritage Hall where you can also caravan with the AFLBS group to the mall. Returning to AFLBS campus at 4pm.
Frisbee Golf: Bring your own frisbee discs and join Josh Johnson, who will be leading the carpool to a local disc golf course.
AFLBS Scavenger Hunt: It’s a race to see who can find all of the highly frequented locations of AFLBS students, both past and present.
4:00 p.m. – Class Reunions (Heritage Hall)
5:30 p.m. – AFLBS Scholarship Dinner and Concert (Heritage Hall)
Come and enjoy a nice dinner with friends and family as we close out our day together. Children are more than welcome to join and stay for the concert as well. Childcare will also be available if you would like to utilize that as well. Snacks will be provided in the childcare rooms during this time.
